My Story

Seventeen years ago, I was lost, burdened by shame, defeat, and unforgiveness. My days were filled with self-doubt, leaving me to question my purpose and value. Then, one day, as I wept in front of the TV, I heard a voice say, "God wants to give you beauty for your ashes." The words struck a chord within me, and I quickly turned to Isaiah 61 in my Bible. As I read, hope washed over me, and I felt compelled to pray. With a heavy heart, I said, "God, I’m not sure what beauty I could get for these ashes, but I want to give them to you. I need your help."

That simple prayer marked the beginning of my journey toward healing. Step by step, God led me through the process of forgiving those who had hurt me, and just as importantly, forgiving myself. With each act of forgiveness, I felt lighter, freer, and more hopeful.

Forgiveness, I learned, is a complex journey that starts within. I had to confront the pain and resentment I carried and acknowledge my role in my own suffering. Through prayer and reflection, I began to release the anger and hurt, understanding that holding onto these emotions only prolonged my pain. Equally important was learning to forgive myself, embracing the truth that I was worthy of God's grace. This realization allowed me to let go of my past and look forward to a future filled with hope and possibility.

As I healed, I felt called to share my journey with others, leading to the creation of Beauty for Ashes Co. Inspired by Isaiah 61, this business is more than just a venture; it’s a mission to help others find their paths to healing and transformation. We offer inspirational products designed to uplift and encourage, along with workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching to support others in their journey toward wholeness and fulfillment.

The journey of Beauty for Ashes Co. is just beginning, but it is rooted in 17 years of personal growth and transformation. It stands as a testament to the power of faith, forgiveness, and the belief that God can turn our deepest pains into our greatest strengths.

In addition to running Beauty for Ashes Co., I have the honor of serving as a licensed minister and co-host of "Buss Down Jesus and Everything in Between." Each week, alongside my best friend, we discuss faith, personal growth, and the challenges of life, striving to create an environment where listeners feel supported and inspired to pursue their dreams.

Seeing the impact of my work on others is one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do. Whether it's a message from a listener who found hope in our words or a customer uplifted by our products, each story reaffirms my commitment to this mission.
